We are pleased to announce that Dylan Hecht, who participated with Asian Breeze in 2025, has signed a minor league contract with the San Francisco Giants. He becomes the second player from Asian Breeze to sign with an MLB organization, following Raisei Nakamura, who joined the Miami Marlins last year.

Dylan Hecht was once a promising pitcher who threw 98 mph (157.7 km/h), but during college, he was diagnosed with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome and was unable to pitch for five years. After undergoing surgery in 2018, he aimed for a comeback, but his velocity didn’t return, leading to his retirement in 2021. While casually playing in amateur leagues, he suddenly clocked 99 mph (159.3 km/h) in February 2025. In a remarkable recovery, he hit 99.3 mph (159.8 km/h) during the Asian Breeze vs. Chicago Cubs game on March 14. This incredible comeback caught the attention of the San Francisco Giants, who signed him to a minor league deal.
