What is Asian Breeze
The Asian Breeze, showcase traveling team, is a multi-cultural indy baseball team that helps players recognized by professional scouts by having them play against minor leaguers from MLB affiliates (also KBO, LMB and colleges) in Arizona every end of February to mid March. We started in 2019 and 2025 season will be our 6th year.
The CEO, Toma Irokawa, is the general manager for Ibaraki Astro Planets (BC League – Japanese independent league) and he has many connections throughout Asian baseball (NPB, KBO, CPBL and Japanese Indy), and the manager and coaches for the team will be current US independent league managers who can sign players right away. This is great tryout opportunity for those who wants to expose yourself to MLB, US indy and Asian teams.
Opponent Clubs

2025 spring will be 6th seasons for Asian Breeze and we have played total 54 games 23 teams including twelve MLB clubs, two KBO clubs, two LMB clubs, colleges and more. The below was the schedule for 2024 season.

Players
While the team is mostly comprised of Japanese players (former NPB, Japanese Independent players and college players), we have some MLB, 3A and 2A experienced players and top US independent players each year. The best player we had so far is a former MLB Cy Young pitcher Trevor Bauer. He pitched for us against Los Angeles Dodgers minor leaguers in March 10th, 2024 and it was three scoreless innings while he touched 99mph.
